Yami “Rowdy” Lofvenberg has 20 years’ experience as a teacher, artistic director and artist . A highly qualified teacher, both in the UK and internationally she aims to express, educate and inspire in the history and foundations of the style.
She performed and choreographed for numerous shows including: the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, Breakin Convention, Bsupreme & The Place.
One of few female Hip Hop dance theatre creators, she has successfully received a Grants for the arts and recipient of the Marion North Mentorship (2014) and One Dance UK Mentoring program (2016).
A student of the late Greg Cambellock Junior himself, she has trained with the creators & pioneers of The Electric Boogaloos and The Lockers. Her Unique style is very soulful, authentic and Yami’s love, dedication and passion for funk styles has earned her place as one of the UK’s ﬁnest dancers in the hip hop community and a positive role model for young women.
Yami is currently a visiting lecturer at Irie Dance theatre foundation degree and recipient of the ADAD trailblazer grant -15/16
